Australia Kelpies sweep England Thorns 3-0 in three-Test men's netball series

England Thorns suffered a 3-0 series defeat to Australia Kelpies as they lost the third and final Test 64-32 at the Copper Box Arena in London on Sunday.

The historic Aurora Series marked the first time Australia's men's team - ranked No 1 in the world - have competed in England, with all matches played as double-headers alongside Netball Super League fixtures.

The visitors had already clinched the series when securing an unassailable 2-0 lead with a 62-30 victory at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Saturday, following on from an opening 63-34 win at the Copper Box Arena last week.

After going into half-time trailing 31-16, England were unable to contain Australia following the break, with the Kelpies eventually running out 32-point winners.

England's men only played their first international match in 2022, while their opponents have been competing on the international stage since the 1980s.

Since 2022, the Thorns have continued to make progress - hosting Jamaica in 2023 and playing in both the FAST5 Netball World Series in New Zealand and the Americas Netball Men's Championships.

The series was streamed live on SportNews+ and via our .
